ABC’s of Happiness (a Sunday reblog)

I love this so much, I decided to reblog it here for an inspiring Sunday read. Enjoy!

POSITIVE THOUGHTS ON LIFE

“If you don’t like what is going on in your life you need to devise a way to make yourself happy.  No one can make you unhappy unless you let them.  Things can make you unhappy, but you learn from these situations”

About Sharon

I love to write. I love to write myself into being right here right now. Writing releases something in me that needs wings, writing opens doors and windows that I often don't even realize are possible, writing helps me breathe out the dusty old, and to breathe in the new and possible. My hope is that maybe writing here in this blog will bring new light into these dusty old hallways and help me to clear out the thinking processes and mindsets that just don't work for me anymore. I seek to breathe new light and life into the nooks and crannies of a soul that has been feeling somewhat lost and frayed because of the last few patches of road I've had to travel.

Great analogy;) For most of us, we have the ability to do things about our current situations; if not , we will just go along drudging through life!

I can’t take credit for this one, but do take credit for “drudging through life” for too many years. My favourite quote these days is by Maya Angelou: “When you don’t like a thing, change it.
If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.” It has taken awhile, but I think I’m living more on the positive side of life now. Thanks for visiting, and for taking the time to comment!

  2. I love Maya Angelou’s quote – it makes so much sense! And thanks for reposting this – the sentiments express how I try to live my life.

Me too, Ruth. I’m finding that a constant diet of these inspirational tidbits is helping a lot. They’re actually sticking in my brain, which in itself is a miracle, LOL.
